Hey Folks,
It's August 2, 2008. July found us on leave of gigging. I had a blast at Jamey Aebersold's summer jazz camp, a week long intensive event in Louisville, KY. It was like a who's who of modern jazz musicians and educators. Concerts 3 times a day! I actually had to excuse myself from some of the classes and concerts so that my brain wouldnt explode!!
CG and Friends play again in August at Kenny Mango's Coffee SHop. Kenny has a very relaxing coffee shop at 97 Hughes Rd. Suite A. , in Madison. 97 Hughes road is a strip mall on the right as you drive from Madison Blvd. Its across the street from the skateboard park. His shop is the furthest on the right. Kenny will be serving lots of coffee drinks, smoothies. The only food they have according to Kenny is chicken curry salad-but it is excellent.
